…well, not really BAD, and it was last night, but I’m taking a bit of poetical license here. 🙂
I forgot that I had a couple of stories to share from yesterday…
Like my first sale of the day…which was a gentleman about my age who found $3.75 worth of stuff and dickered me down to $2…then didn’t bother to pick up the 15 cents he dropped pulling out his wallet. I think he just liked to bargain…
And the second sale was $5.25 (first thing in the morning, mind) and she gave me a twenty…effectively wiping out my folding change for awhile.
I mentioned the football cards yesterday — I collected them in the early 90’s when I was bored and had a relatively good income without a lot to spend it on — there were at least a couple of thousand cards in the boxes — possibly closer to 5 or 10k. I was asking a penny a card, but when he asked what I wanted for all of them together, I just practically gave them to him for $15. I think that was less than I spent on one shopping trip when I bought them…lol. But they are out of my house!
Had a great end to the day sitting in the street chatting with neighbors over Sangria and watching the Super Moon rise. It was gorgeous, even if my camera doesn’t do it as much justice as some of the pictures I’ve seen:
I crashed early — like about 10 PM! — utterly worn out, and was awoken by a terrific crash of thunder about 1:30 AM as we had a fantastical light show outside. A couple of times I was afraid there had been a strike out in the Greenbelt, it seemed that close.
And I thought today’s post might have to be entitled “Ain’t No Sunshine When You’re Gone”, because Sunshine didn’t come to lie at my feet on the bed like he usually does. We thought he might be out in the storm…still don’t know for sure…but he was lying at my feet when I woke up this morning — to my great relief! Yes, he is old and crotchety, but he has been my stalwart companion through thick and thin for going on 20 years now…I would/will miss him.
But if Sunshine wasn’t in evidence, when I woke up to the bang of thunder, I found Psycho Kitty curled up under the blankets with me. She stayed there for an hour at least. I am used to her sleeping BESIDE me on the bed, but apparently the storm was too much for her, so she opted for dark and close. 🙂
Have not lifted a productive finger today, and don’t intend to. We went to lunch at El Arroyo again then just lazed about. It is a good Sunday. Tomorrow is soon enough to finish cleaning up Garage Sale stuff and get back to work.

Needed to get some shopping done, so went in with Newell. New jeans for both of us! Hope he likes them. At least Macy’s has a really good return policy.
I really wasn’t feeling up to cleaning today still anyway. Tomorrow I will be getting some help from my cousin again, so I think things will move forward. 🙂
As for today — I may go down and do dishes, but it is about to storm. Did you know you aren’t even supposed to wash dishes in a storm? I didn’t until yesterday…
Still missing a couple of wayward cats outside in the rain. Ready to strangle them both. And Psycho Kitty was hiding under the couch and didn’t come out when I called her. I thought she had gotten out and couldn’t get back in. Scared me a lot. She definitely is my baby…
