…but if you try sometime, you just might find–you get what you need.
And I think I did with that critique that so disheartened me. Not saying I’ll make all the changes suggested, but I will make a few more. Just not right now. February. I’m making myself ignore it till then while I do other things. That’s two weeks incubation, and then I’ll fix it and send it off to the next step.
So, I’ve been writing little things, poems, a short story I’d started ages ago, and starting my next Conn-Mann book because those characters are all happy-go-lucky and silly instead of horror. 🙂
Submitted the story to Mocha Memoirs for “No-Excuses-Day.”
Got the garbage out today, and a load of dishes washed. Trying to stay at least on top of the pile. Of course, as I was making my salad for supper tonight, I shook the dressing bottle –and it went EVERYWHERE! Seems that it was put back into the fridge with a broken cap, or the cap got broken somewhere along the way without me knowing it…either way, it was a MESS — and I wound up having to finish the bottle (which was luckily almost empty) because I was NOT putting it back in the fridge that way.
Have errands to run tomorrow, but my goal is to whip the kitchen back into shape as well. Wish me luck.
Tracking:
Today I cleaned — little. Trash and recycling put out, load of dishes, FACE-OFF removed from the DVR after watching the rest of the marathon.
Today I weighed — 187.2 *sigh*
Today I wrote/revised — part of a short story
