Love midweek holidays, don’t you? A nice lazy day.

We saw a grand fireworks display out the back window last night. Someone getting a jump on everyone else, but the most impressive batch I’ve seen in quite awhile. Didn’t know they were going to be doing it, or I would have gone and tried to take more of my lousy firework pictures. 😉 Only way to get better is practice, right?

We slept in a bit today, but not as long as I would have liked…Newell’s dad called to say hello. Didn’t mind the interruption in the least — we don’t hear from them enough — but I needed a nap in the middle of the afternoon.

We will be leaving for dinner with Newell’s best friend in visiting from California in a few minutes, and then (hopefully) will be early enough to get a good seat at the park for tonight’s big firework show.

Tomorrow I will be chatting on the Chatting with Drea Facebook group. Looking forward to that.

Just wanted to pop in and update before we left. I will also be cleaning a bit tomorrow, or I will have to change the name of my blog!
