I have been writing professionally since the turn of the millennium—though I added the “Rose” to the end fairly recently. After putting up with me for fifteen years, my husband had earned the recognition. My earlier work appears under “Rie Sheridan.”

In that time, I have published 12 novels, 3 short story collections, 7 poetry collections, and contributed to innumerable anthologies, both as a writer and as an editor.

My stories have also been published on The Eternal Night, ShadowKeep, and Verge ezines, as well as the EOTU and Planet Relish websites.

My poetry has appeared in Mythic Circle, Dreams of Decadence, Apex & Abyss, Aberrant Dreams, Abandoned Towers, Electric Wine and Tapestry.

My most popular short stories to date are the Adventures of Bruce and Roxanne, humorous horror shorts, several of which were collected into two print chapbooks by Yard Dog Press and now are found in a perfect-bound paperback edition.

My most successful novels are the five volumes of the Steampunk series The Conn-Mann Chronicles. These are currently available on Kindle Unlimited. The first adventure, The Marvelous Mechanical Man, is also available on Audible.

I have also written the lyrics to dozens of songs for Marc Gunn. Most of these can be found on the albums “Don’t Go Drinking With Hobbits,” “Pirates Vs. Dragons,” and “As Long As I’m Flyin’,” though there are various outliers.

I live in Texas with my husband, Newell, and several cats, all spoiled rotten.

I love feedback and fan mail, so feel free to contact me at rie@riewriter.com. (This is a new email address, so we’ll see how it goes.)

  1. Hey Rie–Do you want to exchange web links? I looked for a links page but didn’t see one. If you don’t have a dedicated place for links and can’t link with me, that’s fine. I’d still like to put a link on my page to your site with your permission. The more we can help each other out, the better. By the bye, thanks for subscribing! I hope I can keep you entertained–anyway, I’ll do my best.

It’s nice to be able to write seriously again. The last few years have been a blur of diapers and exhaustion.

    • Terry, I don’t have a links page at the moment, and I have been TERRIBLY remiss about even coming to my blog, as you can see…but I don’t mind in the least if you want to link to me. I would also love to have you do a guest blog post about your website. I enjoy your short flashes of fiction, and think other people might be interested to know how it is working. 🙂
